Crime Summary: Metro Robbery Spree Spurs Teen's Arrest

A residential burglary reported May 15 in the 1500 block of Kersey Lane, Rockville, led to the arrest of two men. According to court records accessed online, Alexander Jeffrey, 23, of Germantown, was charged with first-degree attempted burglary and first-degree conspiracy to commit burglary. Joshua R. Evans, 18, for whom court records list a Gaithersburg address, received similar charges.
A 29-year-old man from Germantown was arrested following reports of an aggravated assault in the 2700 block of Fenimore Drive, Silver Spring on May 17. Police did not provide further information.
A 17-year-old boy from Germantown was arrested May 21 following a string of robberies near the Glenmont Metro station in Wheaton on May 19. Police allege the teen threatened victims with a gun before taking their property and have linked him to the following robberies:

- In the 12500 block of Georgia Avenue at 1:02 p.m.
- At Sheraton Street and Urbana Drive at 10:30 p.m.
- At Sheraton Street and Urbana Drive at 10:40 p.m.
An attempted strong-arm robbery was reported in the 12900 block of Mateny Hill Road at 12:30 p.m. Friday, May 18. Police said a man assaulted the alleged victim and tried to take the person’s property. The suspect is described as a male, between 18 and 25 years old, weighing 170 pounds at 5’11” tall.
An aggravated assault was reported in the 12400 block of Great Park Circle in Germantown at 3:40 p.m. Tuesday, May 15. Police said the victim knew the suspect. Further information was not provided.

A residential burglary was reported in the 10700 block of Wayfarer Road on Monday, May 14, between midnight and 7:06 a.m.
A residential burglary was reported in the 20100 block of Locusdale Drive on Wednesday, May 16, between 4 and 11:52 p.m.
Five thefts from vehicles were reported overnight Monday, May 14, to Tuesday, May 15, at the following locations:
- Unit block of Locbury Court – Camera, camcorder and GPS were reported missing
- 12800 block of Locbury Circle – Wallet was reported missing
- 12800 block of Locbury Circle – Laptop and hair straighter were reported missing
- Unit block of Locbury Court – GPS and watch were reported missing
- 12900 block of Pinnacle Drive – GPS was reported missing
A residential burglary was reported in the 18000 block of Wheatridge Drive, 2:42 a.m. Monday, May 14.
