Crime Summary: Pawn Shop Robbed, Car Break-ins Reported

An attempted armed robbery was reported in the parking lot of Walmart, 20910 Frederick Road, a Montgomery County Police spokesperson said. At around midnight on May 5, two men — at least one wearing a ski mask and wielding a gun — demanded property from the alleged victim but fled when the person didn’t have any property to take, police said. The man in the ski mask was described as 5 feet, 6 inches tall and between 160 and 165 pounds. No description was offered for the other man.

An armed robbery was reported at 4:10 p.m. May 5 at Germantown Famous Pawn, 19600 Gunners Brach Drive. Police said a gun-wielding man threatened the alleged victim before obtaining property. The suspect is described as 30 years old, 5 feet, 8 inches tall, weighing 180 to 190 pounds with blond hair.

An attempted burglary was reported at Optimal Learning Center, 21301 Seneca Crossing Drive, between 4 and 8 p.m. on May 3.  

A residential burglary was reported in the 12900 block of Short Hills Drive in Clarksburg, between 7 and 8:30 p.m. May 1.

An aggravated assault was reported in the 19700 block of Crystal Rock Drive around 2 p.m. May 7. Further information was unavailable.

A residential burglary was reported  in the 19600 block of Crystal Rock Drive in Germantown, between 3 and 5:20 p.m. May 2.

A burglary was reported at Equity Residential, 12622 Grey Eagle Court, between May 4 and 7.

Five thefts from vehicles were reported in the Waters Landing community overnight between May 2 and 3. GPS units and loose change were reported missing. Police said the vehicles’ doors were unlocked. Thefts were reported in the:

• 20400 block of Ambassador Terrace
• 13500 block of Deerwater Drive
• 20400 block of Waters Point Lane
