On Sunday, October 21, 2012 from 12-4, Lost and Found Horse Rescue at 15800 Darnestown Rd, Germantown, Maryland will hold an open house for friends and neighbors to meet the horses and donkeys available for adoption. Attendees will have a chance to participate in the Third Annual Dirty Donkey Contest! There will be a demonstration on Round penning 101 with Tony Eyler of Equine Solutions and a showcase of horses available for adoption. This year Master Gardeners will give tours of the beautiful gardens at Ithaca Farms.
To support the rescue, there will be an Equestrian Thrift Store with tack and of used blankets and a book sale. There is also an on-line auction. The on-line auction will close on Friday Oct. 19. A link to the auction and more information is on the rescue’s website www.lfhr.org.
