Fighting Gym Teachers Placed on Leave

Two gym teachers who fought in front of students at have been placed on administrative leave, pending an investigation, Montgomery County Public Schools spokesman Dana Tofig told Patch.

The fight reportedly occurred at around 11 a.m. Friday, March 9, Friday evening.

Two students reportedly witnessed the fray; the teachers later apologized to each other and to the principal, The Gazette reported Monday.

In a letter to parents, school administrators said the incident was “completely inappropriate and unacceptable.”

“The actions of these staff members undermine the core values we must model for our children,” the letter stated.
