Germantown Driver Arrested For Meth Possession, Fleeing Police
A Germantown driver who fled a traffic stop, crashed into 2 vehicles and was caught with meth and Ecstasy faces charges, police said.

GERMANTOWN, MD — A Germantown driver who fled a traffic stop, crashed into two vehicles and was caught by police with methamphetamine and Ecstasy faces several charges, Montgomery County Police said.
Quinnel Martin, 36, was spotted by officers about 1:42 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 15, near West Diamond Avenue. A news release by the police department said when patrol officers saw a gold Toyota Camry violate a traffic law, they tried to stop the driver, later identified as Martin, but he did not immediately stop.
Near Clopper Road and Firstfield Road, Martin hit a white Toyota Rav4 and then collided with a tow truck, police said. After the crash, Martin tried to run from officers, who quickly apprehended him.

A search of Martin located a large amount of methamphetamine and MDMA also known as “Molly” or Ecstasy, and an undisclosed amount of cash in his possession, the police said.
Martin was arrested and taken to the Central Processing Unit, where he was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance with the intent to distribute, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle and obstructing and hindering a police investigation.

Investigators determined Martin had multiple outstanding warrants for first-degree assault, witness intimidation and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
