Lopez Held Without Bond

Curtis Maurice Lopez, 45, has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of his estranged wife, Jane McQuain.

The man charged with murdering his estranged wife in Germantown was held without bond, a Montgomery County District Court judge ordered Thursday.

Curtis Maurice Lopez, 45, was transported to the Montgomery County Detention Center on Wednesday afternoon, having been taken into custody Oct. 13 on the strength of a Maryland warrant linked to the death of Jane McQuain, 51, who was found beaten and stabbed to death in her Germantown apartment on Oct. 12, Montgomery County Police said.

Police said charges were pending against Lopez for the death of Jane McQuain’s son, William, 11, whose body was found in a wooded area off Clarksburg Road on Oct. 18.
