Man Accused of Killing Germantown Mom Due in N.C. Court Today

Curtis Maurice Lopez, 45, is scheduled for an extradition hearing Monday afternoon. His estranged wife, Jane McQuain, was found murdered in her Germantown condo last week.

The estranged husband accused of killing Germantown mom Jane McQuain is set to appear in North Carolina courtroom for an extradition hearing Monday afternoon, according to online court records.

Curtis Maurice Lopez, 45, has was arrested last week in Charlotte on the strength of a Maryland warrant after in her Germantown condo, Montgomery County Police said. An official autopsy report determined McQuain had been beaten and stabbed to death.

Montgomery County Police are still searching for her 11-year-old son, William McQuain, who has been missing since Sept. 30.

On Sunday, police searched Damascus Recreational Park and Little Bennett Regional Park. Friends and loved ones of Jane and William McQuain also searched local wooded areas for the boy and have been spreading out hundreds of flyers to spread the word.
