Maryland Weather: Labor Day 2021 Forecast

MARYLAND — With strong weather in Maryland on Wednesday morning, many people may be wondering if they'll have to reconsider Labor Day plans.

Despite a recent uptick in coronavirus cases across the United States, millions of Americans are likely to move ahead with Labor Day celebrations this year, marking the holiday with outdoor barbecues, town festivals and family camping trips.

While celebrating safely is paramount, Mother Nature also holds the power to make or break a perfect outdoor holiday celebration.

Will Mother Nature be on our side this Labor Day weekend? We may actually be in luck, according to the most recent forecast for Maryland on Wednesday morning.

As you head home from work Friday evening, expect mostly clear skies, with a low of 61 degrees. The rest of the weekend will look similar:

• Saturday: Partly cloudy during the day with a high of 80 degrees, with temperatures cooling down in the evening and partly cloudy skies.
• Sunday: Today is predicted to be humid and mostly cloudy, with a chance of precipitation. Hopefully the weather hold up for Baltimore's extravaganza and fireworks show on Sunday evening.
• Monday: For Labor Day, it will be humid and mostly cloudy during the day, making it a decent day for the Labor Day Festival in Kensington.

Want more reassurance? The National Weather Service forecast calls for something much of the same, though some projections look a bit brighter.

• Friday: Partly sunny pleasant, with a temperature of 77 degrees.
• Saturday: Mostly sunny and nice, with a temperature of 78 degrees.
• Sunday: Humid with clouds and sun, and a temperature of 83 degrees.
• Monday: Mostly sunny, temperature of 81 degrees.
