Missing 66-Year-Old Germantown Man Found Dead In Delaware: Police
Family members last heard from Germantown resident Osogho I. Odu on Jan. 24. Search teams found his body in Delaware on Feb. 9.

GERMANTOWN, MD — A missing 66-year-old Germantown man was found dead by search teams in Delaware Saturday, according to police.
Family members last heard from Osogho I. Odu, of the 18200 block of Swiss Circle, at about 1:10 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, Montgomery County Police said. The following day, law enforcement officials in Delaware City found Odu's abandoned gray 2017 Hyundai Tucson near the Reedy Point Bridge of the Fort DuPont State Park.
Officials recovered Odu's body on Saturday.

"On February 9, a joint search operation between Delaware State Police, Delaware Fish & Wildlife Natural Resources Police, Delaware State Parks Natural Resources Police, and Montgomery County Police with the assistance of Delmarva, Maryland SAR and Chesco Volunteer search teams were conducting a search in the area of Fort DuPont State Park in Delaware City, Delaware," Montgomery County Police said in a statement.
"The Montgomery County Police Major Crimes Division and Managed Search Operations Team wish to thank the above listed agencies as well as the New Castle County Police, Delaware City Police and Delaware City Fire Department for their assistance during the investigation and subsequent recovery of Osogho I. Odu," police added.

Authorities said the Delaware State Police will be conducting an investigation into his death.
