The emergency facility has been based in Germantown since 2006, when few urgent care centers were available in the area. However, since then, several facilities have opened.
The announcement comes on the heels of plans for a $248 million patient tower at the Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center, which is expected to house an expanded emergency department.
