Updated, 5:14 p.m. At around 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Curtis Maurice Lopez, 45, was taken into custody in Charlotte, N.C., on the strength of a Maryland arrest warrant related to the death of Jane McQuain.
McQuain's ex-boyfriend Ronald McCombs told The Associated Press on Friday that McQuain had recently expressed concenrs for her safety and that Lopez, her estranged husband who had spent more than a decade in in prison, had recently re-emerged in her life.
McQuain was found dead in the bedroom of her Germantown condo on Wednesday. Police have not revealed the circumstances of McQuain's death.

Her son William McQuain, 11, remains missing as of Friday evening.
