Police: Man Beat, Robbed Outside Clarksburg High School

Five teen males are suspected of beating and robbing a man on a bench outside Clarksburg High School.

According to Montgomery County Police, the teens asked the victim, an adult male, for money.

Police said the man told the teens he didn’t have any money and proceeded to pull out his cell phone.

Police said one of the teens took the phone while the others punched the man before leaving the scene together.

The victim told police he recognized one of the suspects, a 16-year-old male, which lead to the identification of the others.

Police didn’t provide further information regarding the suspects. Patch does not name minors.

A commercial burglary was reported at the Kingsview Community Pool, 18909 Kingsview Drive, Germantown on Friday, Aug. 3 at 2:20 a.m.  Police said there were signs of forced entry; property and cash were reported missing.

A residential burglary was reported in the 19700 block of Crystal Rock Drive, Germantown on Sunday, Aug. 5 between 2:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. 

A residential burglary was reported in the 12900 block of Alderleaf Drive, Germantown on Tuesday, Aug. 7 between 7:30 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.  Police said there were signs of forced entry; property was reported missing.

A residential burglary was reported in the 18100 block of Dark Star Way, Boyds on Saturday, Aug. 4 at 1:56 p.m. Police said there were signs of forced entry; but it was unclear whether whether any property was taken.
