Police: Suspected Burglar Caught on Camera
Montgomery County Police are investigating a string of burglaries in Germantown since April 6.
Surveillance photos of a person suspected in a month's-long rash of burglaries and thefts in Germantown were released by Montgomery County Police on Monday.
Police said that since April 6, there have been 18 reports of homes being burglarized while people were inside the house. In addition, there have been reports of thefts from vehicles — one such incident was caught on camera, according to police.
Police said they believe the same person was involved “in some or all of the incidents.”

The photos come from an alleged theft from vehicle incidents in the 18000 block of Wheatfield Drive at around 4 a.m. May 23.
Police said two male suspects entered a vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence. After removing items from the vehicle, one of the suspects attempted to open the front door of the residence.

The suspect was caught on a surveillance camera.
Further investigation revealed numerous other vehicles in the area that had also been broken into.

- Polynesian Lane
- Stone Hollow Drive
- Lake Geneva Way
- Marble Hill Place
- Chatterly Court
According to police, vehicle and residence doors were unlocked in many of the incidents. Police are urging all residents to remove valuables from their vehicles when left unattended, to lock all vehicles' doors, and to secure all doors and windows to their homes
