Tonight is National Night Out

In a nationwide effort to reduce crime, police across the country have teamed up with neighborhoods for the 29th National Night Out, coordinated by the National Association of Town Watch. 

Upcounty, National Night Out events are scheduled at: 

• Damascus: 4 p.m.; Damascus Gardens, 9829 Bethesda Church Road
• Clarksburg: 5 to 7 p.m.; Clarksburg Town Center, 12901 Sugarloaf Chapel Drive
• Boyds: 7 to 9 p.m.; Vista/Woodcliffe Park
