The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Glen Burnie.

Good morning, hello. It's me, Michele, your host of the Glen Burnie Daily — back in your inbox with everything you need to know about what's happening in our community today. Let's do this.
First, today's weather:
Mostly sunny and humid. High: 86 Low: 68. The weather seems to be cooperating with the unofficial start to summer.
Here are the top stories in Glen Burnie today:
- The National Weather Service confirmed that two tornados touched down this past Friday, May 27. Trees were torn down and several houses damaged during this event. It has been determined that this was an EF-0 with a speed of 80 miles per hour. (FOX 5 DC)
- COVID - 19 cases are on the rise in Anne Arundel County. It is being recommended for the public to wear masks while inside public places. The CDC has moved the counties status from
"medium" to "high". (WTOP) - Foot's forecast is saying there is a "Potentially Historic Meteor Storm Possible Monday Night." The last meteor shower happened when the SW3 comet exploded into millions of pieces in 1995. While coming close several times to this meteor field, we have never been quite where we needed to be to experience another meteor shower. (Facebook)
