3 Separate Shooting Incidents In Glen Burnie Aug. 2: Police

Anne Arundel County police officers ask the public for information to help solve the three incidents.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Three separate shooting incidents occurred in Glen Burnie Aug. 2, one that involved destruction to a vehicle. On Aug. 2 at approximately 6:55 a.m., officers responded to a call about a vehicle being damaged by gunfire in the 6400 block of Jefferson Place in Glen Burnie. Officers met with the victim who reported hearing gunshots at approximately 4:15 a.m. and found the rear window of the victim's vehicle, a black Chrysler 300, had been shattered. Officers found a shell casing on the ground nearby.

At approximately 7:25 a.m. Aug. 2, officers responded to the Glen Burnie Courthouse for a report of an assault. A man was leaving the Willows community when the suspect fired gunshots at him, striking his vehicle multiple times. Officers found several spent shell casings in the roadway near where the assault occurred. No injuries were reported.

On Aug. 2 at approximately 10:40 a.m., officers responded for a report of gunshots fired in the area of 450 Old Quarterfield Rd. in Glen Burnie. A witness saw a man on the sidewalk adjacent to 450 Old Quarterfield Rd. exchange gunfire with another male suspect who was a passenger in a gold Chevrolet Suburban traveling westbound on Old Quarterfield Road. Several gunshots were fired by both suspects. No injuries were reported. Officers discovered damage on a 2016 silver Hyundai Veloster and a 2014 silver Honda Accord believed to be caused by the gunfire.
