The building most recently served as the home of Mike's Inland at Sunset, which announced its closure in August after three years of business.

Before Mike's, the facility housed the Sunset Restaurant for six decades, ultimately closing the doors during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic in September 2020.

Ahead of the sale, officials said the structure underwent considerable interior renovations.

"The property’s established restaurant use and recent improvements were key considerations in the transaction," George Shenas, of Hyatt Commercial, said in a statement.

"The sale marks a transition in ownership for a well-known Glen Burnie location."

The restaurant sold for $1.5 million in 2023 when it changed ownership, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.
