A local charity is raising money to begin their third season making a difference in the lives of children in need. Captains Sharing and Caring offers boating opportunities and marine related education for children with
serious illnesses, disabilities, special needs & those at risk.
Offering boat outings for youth with terminal illness and their families, captains share their boats and time to ensure these children experience a great time while boating. The families connect with nature and learn
new skills on the water, while spending quality, peaceful, time together. Many of our families come from a distance, so CSC is expanding their reach by working to raise funds for various gift cards for the families. A lot of the families
barely have enough money for gas to get to the cruise site, money for lunch or dinner, and money for weekly groceries. Their medical bills eat up a lot of their finances. We are looking to our marine family and friends to see if we can come up with gas, grocery, and fast food gift cards that we can provide for our special families.
All costs for the Foundation are covered by CSC with money raised, through various fund raising efforts. The programs are run throughout the Chesapeake Bay region with their home port located in Middle River, Maryland. Children participate in the program from various places.
Examples include Hershey Medical Center, St. Baldrick’s Foundation, American Cancer Society, The Four Diamonds, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, Ronald McDonald House and many others.

Captains Sharing and Caring was founded by Bob and Cheryl Krajcsik, natives of Harrisburg, PA. They are a 501 (c) (3) non-profit charitable foundation. CSC are currently
searching for Significant Program Partners, Sponsors, and Volunteers. CSC is supported by private donation only and donations are 100% tax deductible and 100% for the children and their families.
Captains Sharing and Caring is also looking for children and their families to enjoy “Heather Days” on the waters of the Chesapeake. Their launch date for Summer of 2013 is not firm as of this date. If you know of anyone that may want to join them in any volunteer capacity, or if you know of a family that would benefit from the therapeutic effects of relaxation on the water, please have them
contact Captains Sharing and Caring. Thank you!
