The 23rd Annual Strawberry Festival at the Benson-Hammond House will be held on Saturday June 8, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. (Rain date June 9.) Featured are our strawberry shortcake, chocolate-covered strawberries, strawberry wine, fresh strawberries and produce, and Buddy's pit sandwiches.
Crafters will offer handmade goods and local civic organizations will be represented. Strawberry ice-cream will be hand-churned at the refurbished summer kitchen and historic demonstrators will present.
Musical entertainment will be provided by Ed McDade and his "Rhythms and Rhymes of American Folk Music" at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. The local Three-4-All Trio will play at noon.
