Police say they recovered the stolen property, but did not disclose what it was. Poland's arrest led to the closure of multiple burglary cases in the past few weeks, police said in the release.
Attempted ATM Theft:
Around 2:40 a.m. Friday, police responded to a hold up alarm from a 7-Eleven at 2129 Defense Hwy. in Crofton. Witnesses said a gold Ford F350 pickup was used to ram into the front of the store. Three suspects got out and tried to steal the ATM in the store. A fourth suspect didn't go inside.
After failing, the suspects drove off on Defense Highway towards Route 424. Multiple police units, including K9, were unable to find them immediately.
Descriptions of the suspects are spotty. One was wearing all black, another wore all black and white socks, a third was wearing a black hoodie and black pants and the fourth suspect was not described at all.
The suspect vehicle is a gold Ford 4x4 F350 pickup with damage to the rear bumper. The license plate number isn't known.
