Human Remains Believed To Be Female Found In Glen Burnie
A body discovered in a wooded area near Glen Burnie Sept. 30 is believed to be a woman. An autopsy will be conducted today, Oct. 1.
GLEN BURNIE, MD — Police are actively investigating a case that developed Monday, Sept. 30, in Glen Burnie after an individual discovered a body in a wooded area located along Elvaton Road near Silent Breeze Court. The remains have been transported to the chief medical examiner's office for an autopsy today, Oct. 1. A preliminary investigation has led police to believe that the remains are that of a female who has been deceased for several weeks, the police stated.
Police disclosed Oct. 1 that more human remains have been uncovered. They are believed to be part of the same remains recovered Sept. 30.
Members of the Anne Arundel County recruit class searched the wooded area and found evidence to assist investigators. The county police department is working with neighboring jurisdictions to attempt to positively identify the remains.
