1 K Fun Run and Kid Fun Fest Wooden Nickel Park

Here’s your Chance to Toss and Run with the Frog

Join us on May 18, 2013 for the 2^nd Annual 1K Wooden Nickel Fun Run and Kid Fun Fest. The event will take place at Kinder Farm Park, 1001 Kinder Farm Park Road, Millersville, Maryland from 10:00 to 1:00 pm. You might even get to toss a few frogs! Or maybe even put a few toes on the Wooden Nickel Park’s spokesfrog, Woodside, who will be making his debut at this fun-filled event. The 1K Fun Run will begin at 10:30 am and there will be prizes awarded to the first one hundred kids less than twelve years to cross the finish line. Don’t be surprised if you see an overly-large frog running right with you.

 The Funfest features the intriguing Scales and Tails exhibit of animals from the wild, along with hay rides, crafts, how to plant seeds, and the Raise the Flag Challenge for older participants.

 Admission is $5.00 for kids and $10.00 for adults. All proceeds will go to fund the construction of the first Wooden Nickel Park at Kinder Farm Park and scholarships for youth members.
