The Tate Cancer Center at Baltimore Washington Medical Center offers “Survivorship: Living With and Beyond Cancer,” a new monthly education and support group for patients diagnosed with any type of cancer. This program is offered from 5 to 6:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month (except January) in the Aiello Breast Center, located at 203 Hospital Drive (Suite B100) in Glen Burnie. Upcoming dates for 2013 include February 5, March 5, April 2, May 7, June 4, July 2, August 6, September 3, October 8, November 5 and December 3.
Facilitated by Debbie Russell, RN, nurse navigator at BWMC, this self-care skills class and group discussion offers information and support for cancer patients and their families. In addition to networking and peer support, presentations on timely topics will guide monthly discussions. The program is free and light refreshments will be provided. Reservations are not requested.
