Clothing Exchange

The Cloth­ing Exchange is a free event. It takes in clean new and used clothes from peo­ple, folds them, sorts them, and then allows those in need to fill up empty bags. Peo­ple leave with a whole new wardrobe of new to them clothes that they love. It is a very sim­ple con­cept, and it works.This exchange is for many dif­fer­ent kinds of peo­ple: Par­ents with quickly grow­ing chil­dren, work­ing class peo­ple look­ing for busi­ness attire for inter­views, green minded teens look­ing for that per­fect out­fit, bi-pass patients, expect­ing moth­ers, peo­ple new to the neigh­bor­hood, and even peo­ple who have lost cloth­ing because of crime or disaster.Besides the fun atmos­phere and great vibe, the Cloth­ing Exchange builds com­mu­nity and excite­ment around the spirit of giv­ing and shar­ing the Love of Jesus.After the Cloth­ing Exchange, the remain­ing clothes are sorted and packed up for sev­eral dif­fer­ent char­i­ties who use the clothes to help those who find them­selves in the great­est of need through­out the year.How the Cloth­ing Exchange works:1) Dig Deep and clean out your house. Dig in your closet (and your kid’s clos­ets) for good clothes, shoes and acces­sories that have been out grown or just aren’t worn any more. Go through your kitchen and pack up those unused items.- We will not be accept­ing any of the fol­low­ing items: Books, movies, knick­knacks or glassware.2) Make sure all clothes are clean and free of dirt, smells, and pet hair.3) Put the clothes in bags or boxes (please label boxes and bags with gen­der and sizes)4) Bring your items to 302 Crain Hwy South Glen Burnie, MD 21060, between Octo­ber 28^th – Novem­ber 11^th 10am-3pm week­days at the church office and Sun­days reg­u­lar ser­vice times in the foyer.5) Fur­ni­ture dona­tions are wel­come but must be dropped off in the park­ing lot on the day of event. 6) At the Exchange you will be given a bag accord­ing to your fam­ily size. Addi­tional bags may be pur­chased for $5.7) Walk away with a whole new wardrobe of stuff you love! Easy as pie, and FREE!
