Photographer and educator Denny Lynch will present a slide-lecture on the unique Northwest Baltimore neighborhood of Hampden, where he grew up and still lives with his wife.
The free program will showcase Hampden’s landmarks, architecture, history, culture and colorful characters.
Lynch will share images of people and places in Hampden since the early 20th century. He also has more recent photographs of the old mills along the Jones Fall, schools, churches, the stores on 36th Street (“The Avenue”), the Hampden Festival, HONfest, the mayor’s Christmas Parade and the Celebration of Christmas Lights.
