Mary Chaput, director of the National Family Caregiver Support Program and the Respite Care Program at the Anne Arundel County Department of Aging and Disabilities, will speak at a meeting of the Kinship Caregiver Support Group. Her topic will be the Family Caregiver Support Program. The meetings are free and are for those providing Kinship Care.
Kinship Care is the full-time care, nurturing and protection of children by relatives or other adults who have a family relationship to the child.
Participants are encouraged to ask questions about raising a relative’s child, such as financial concerns and guidance about county services.
