Volunteer Mobilization Center Training

The Anne Arundel County Volunteer Center is teaming with the Anne Arundel County Office of Emergency Management to offer a training class to learn how to set up a Volunteer Mobilization Center in case of a disaster or emergency. A Volunteer Mobilization Center (VMC) is a place where people can go to register, get information and be matched with agencies to help them.

There will be classroom training from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. After lunch, from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., a VMC will be set up with volunteers taking turns as people registering people coming in, then trading off to be the "volunteer" who has just shown up.

The training is free and open to everyone, but you must register. To register, contact Karen Sank at 410-222-0611 or FDSANK00@aacounty.org.
