Weight Management and Wellness Seminar

The University of Maryland Center for Weight Management & Wellness is offering a free educational seminar at Baltimore Washington Medical Center on Wednesday, January 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Courtney Conference Center, located on the lower level of the Tate Center at 305 Hospital Drive. Conducted by Dr. Mark Kligman, the seminar explores a comprehensive surgical approach to weight loss. Surgical therapy is a treatment option reserved for individuals 18 to 60 who have a body mass index (BMI) over 40 or who have a BMI between 35 and 40 and obesity-related medical complications, such as diabetes, significant cardiovascular disease or sleep apnea.
