- The repaving of MD 648 (Baltimore-Annapolis Blvd) between Interstate-97 and MD 3 (Crain Highway) started Sunday, April 10. The crews will work from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., Sunday nights through Friday mornings. On street parking may be impacted. Signs and flagging crews will be onsite to guide traffic. The work is expected to be completed by early May. (Arundel Journal)
- A Windsor Mill man won the Maryland State Pick 5 Lottery over the weekend. Using his younger brothers license plate numbers, he won $25,000. Paying some bills and getting car work done are on his list of ways to spend his winning. (News Break)
- Phillip Beaumont Helmbright, 70, of Glen Burnie has had his entire sentence suspended. During a sentencing hearing on April 4, 2022, Helmbright pleaded guilty to 3 counts of being in the possession of child pornography. He was sentenced to 8 years in prison, which all have been suspended. (News Break)
- Halethorpe resident Ryan Sungchan Neukam was sentenced to 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to drinking and driving that lead to the death of one of his passengers. He was originally sentenced to 10 years, but all but 18 months were suspended. (News Break)
- A Southwest Airlines plane made an emergency landing at BWI airport over the weekend. The plane reported having a cracked windshield. The plane landed safely Sunday night at 8:43 p.m. (A.A. First Alerst/Facebook)
