• Upcoming Caregiver Workshop in October (aacounty.org) — Glen Burnie caregivers can attend a free Dementia Live simulation workshop on Wednesday, October 28 at 6 p.m. at the Anne Arundel Department of Aging and Disabilities' North County office on Ritchie Highway. Another dementia education session is set earlier in October at the Busch Annapolis Library. Space is limited, so residents are urged to pre-register by phone or online and request accommodations in advance.
   

• 2 sentenced in 2025 murder of 18-year-old found near Anne Arundel trail (cbsnews.com) — Sentences have been handed down for the 2025 killing of 18-year-old Jonathan Guiliani, who was shot near the Baltimore & Annapolis Trail off Aquahart Road in Glen Burnie. Prosecutors detailed how a robbery attempt near local spots like Crazy Crab and an Exxon station escalated into gunfire. Investigators used DNA, cellphone records, and a burned getaway car to link the young defendants to the crime.
