Glen Burnie Man Killed, Police Ask For Tips

Anne Arundel County Police are asking for tips from the public following a shooting early Sunday and a Glen Burnie man's death.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — Anne Arundel County Police called to reports of gunshots found a Glen Burnie man unconcious in the grass; he was pronounced dead at the scene by authorities. The shooting happpened about 2 a.m. Nov. 11 in the 600 block of Charante Court in Glen Burnie. Officers found Quenton Alonza Boykin, 37, lying unconscious in the grass and was pronounced dead by paramedics after life-saving measures failed. Police say he had injuries to the upper body consistent with being a homicide.

Patrol officers secured the scene and members of the homicide and evidence collection units responded. Detectives worked throughout the early morning collecting evidence and interviewing witnesses. Boykin's body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, where an autopsy will be performed on Nov. 12 to determine the exact cause and manner of death.
