Gunman To Spend 25 Years in Prison for Double Shooting
Prosecutors say Ronnie Rashid Downs pleaded guilty Monday to attempted murder in the 2014 Annapolis shootings.

A Glen Burnie man was sentenced to 65 years in jail, with all but 25 years suspended, for shooting two men on an Annapolis street.
The State’s Attorney’s office for Anne Arundel County said Ronnie Rashid Downs, 23, pleaded guilty Monday to attempted second-degree murder in the July 2014 double shooting of Reginald Butler, 26, and Reno Green, 25, both of Annapolis.
Annapolis Police say Butler and Green were in a vehicle when they argued with Downs in a parking lot in the 1300 block of Tyler Avenue. Downs shot at the vehicle, hitting Butler and Green, and the vehicle then crashed into a tree.
