Heroin, Cocaine Seized During Glen Burnie Bust: Police

Street drugs valued at more than $2,000 were seized and two men were arrested in a drug raid last week in Glen Burnie, police say.

Anne Arundel County Police executed a search warrant at 291 E. Thompson Ave. in Glen Burnie about 7 p.m. March 26. The warrant was a result of undercover investigation into narcotic violations occurring at the residence.

As a result of the raid, detectives seized the following:

• 14.06 grams of suspected cocaine with an estimated street value of $1,406
• 5.16 grams of suspected heroin with an estimated street value of $516
• CDS distribution paraphernalia (digital scale, packaging materials)
• Look-a-like pellet handgun
• $4,148 in cash

Police charged Kevin Carter Alston, 44, of 291 E. Thompson Ave. in Glen Burnie with:

• Possession with intent to distribute cocaine
• Possession with intent to distribute heroin
• Possession cocaine
• Possession heroin
• Possession of paraphernalia

A second suspect, Dwayne Thomas Grimes, 38, was arrested on an open warrant.
