In the last 72 hours Annapolis Police officers responded to 239 calls for service and arrested 18 people.

Good News – On 03/28 the Annapolis Police Department hosted the Inaugural Naptown Trot 5K run/walk. Over 230 participants raised over $14,000 to support Special Olympics Maryland! Police Department Command Staff, officers, Explorers, Anne Arundel County Reserve Officers, and countless others volunteered their time for the athletes of Special Olympics.

Burglary – 200 block of Hanover St – 03/27 from 8:30am to 5:30pm: A Sony Bravia 60” TV, an Apple MacBook Air, and an HP laptop computer were stolen from an apartment. There was no sign of forced entry to the apartment.

Indecent Exposure – Unit block of Carver St – 03/27 at 11:52pm: A 14-year-old female resident heard someone knocking on a window to the apartment and saw a man exposing his genitals. Officers arrived and located Alvaro Sanabria Rivera Cortez, 20 of Annapolis behind the apartment building. Sanabria Rivera Cortez was identified as the man exposing himself. He was charged with indecent exposure and was released from the Jennifer Road Detention Center after posting $6,000 bond.

Burglary – 100 block of Clay St – 03/29 from 11:15am to 1:05pm: The rear door to the home was forced open and a Haier 40” flat screen TV, XBox 360 game console, HP laptop computer, a white Apple iPhone 5C, a black leather purse, tan Michael Kors wallet, and rose gold Michael Kors watch were stolen.

Motor Vehicle Theft – 800 block of Chase St – 03/29 from 9:40pm to 10:09pm: A green 2002 Toyota Sequoia, DC reg. DL4311, was stolen from a parking lot.

The City of Annapolis government offices will be closed on Friday, April 3, for Good Friday.
