Lil Bill's Bar and Grill Closes
The local restaurant and bar will be taken over by a sushi and Asian fusion restaurant in the coming months.
After several years of serving food and drinks to the Glen Burnie community, Lil Bill's Bar and Grill closed its doors last week.
While a representative of Lil Bill's could not be reached for comment, the owners did take time to announce their plans to close on their Facebook page, stating, “Lil Bill's is closing. We want to thank everyone who has supported us throughout the years. We love you all.”
Larry Mekulski—realtor with KLNB Real Estate, the agency that handles rental of the space— said Lil Bill's closing came about because “business was poor.” Mekulski also confirmed that sushi and Asian fusion restaurant East Moon Asian Bistro is slated to become the next tenant of the space.

Although Lil Bill's announced that June 30 would be their last day in business, customers who arrived at lunch time that day found the doors dead bolted shut and the lights turned off.
“It's scary and sad to see places closing because they can't do enough business,” said one customer.

Another group of men who had planned to have a lunchtime meeting at Lil Bill's were disappointed to hear of the closing.
“We work across the street,” one gentleman said. “We've come over a few times for lunch, and it's really a shame to see the place close.
Facebook friends of the restaurant openly expressed their disappointment with the closing, describing Lil Bill's as a place where they “had made lifelong friends” and “enjoyed taking the family.”
In addition to being a restaurant and bar, Lil Bill's was also known for their schedule of live music and karaoke, as well as for catering parties and group events.
