Here are the top stories today in Glen Burnie:
- Oh dear! Seems like the mail may be delayed in Rugby Road at Homeland Road, Sunset Beach area. Only one person was detained after a fight broke out between two mail carriers. (Facebook)
- Around 4 a.m. on Sunday, May 29, three suspects got into an argument with a homeowner on Longtowne Court in Glen Burnie. Threats were made that they would return to do harm. At least 20 rounds were fired into a couple of homes before fleeing the scene. Other than the suspects being strangers, nothing else is known. (Daily Voice)
- The Anne Arundel Police press release shows quite a bit of activity over the last few days. Several weapons offenses and shootings. Not all of these crimes ended with an arrest. If anyone has any information, please contact the police. (Anne Arundel County)
- SNAP benefits are being increased in order to keep the youth of Anne Arundel County fed over the summer. The increase will go into effect for the months of June, July, August and December. More families have signed up for this benefit during the pandemic. (News Break)
- A Maryland woman brought home more than just a few trinkets from her trip to Asia. In fact, she brought home approximately $500,000 worth of counterfeit designer clothing. Since she has not been formally charged yet, her name has not been released. (News Break)
- County Executive Steuart Pittman has stated that there will not be a "Mask Order" made in Anne Arundel County. Even with the rise of COVID-19 cases, Pittman does not have any intention of reinstating the mask restriction. This will only happen if hospitals become overwhelmed with COVID-19 cases and that has not happened. (Newsbreak)
