🌱 Marble Bar Memories + UPS Driver Shot + Laurel Officer Shot

The quickest way to get caught up on the most important things happening today in Glen Burnie.

(Patch Media)

Morning, neighbors! It's me again, your host of the Glen Burnie Daily.

First, today's weather:

Intervals of clouds and sun. High: 63 Low: 51.

Here are the top stories in Glen Burnie today:

  1. The iconic Marble Bar in Baltimore was a haven for "punks and misfits." It was considered a judge-free zone. Though it has been closed for 35 years, it is still remembered fondly by those who frequented the bar. (Baltimore Magazine)
  2. Sadly, it seems a man killed by a fallen tree was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Neighbors believed the family was in Annapolis visiting family for the holidays. Severe storms that were in the area are believed to be the cause of the tree falling. (Fox Baltimore)
  3. A UPS driver was robbed at gunpoint yesterday at the Festival at Riva Shopping Center in Annapolis. The robbery happened around 11:30 a.m. A description of the assailant has been distributed to surrounding areas. No arrests have been made at this time. (WBAL TV)
  4. A Laurel Police Officer was shot yesterday while serving a warrant. After announcing their presence, a person at the residence shot four rounds. One of the rounds hit the officer. (WMAR)
