MD Man Arrested Over Parking Lot Drug Deal: Police

A Brooklyn Park man was arrested in a traffic stop after being spotted in a drug exchange, police said.

ANNE ARUNDEL CO., MD — Ryan Lamar Holliday Jr., a 26-year-old man from Brooklyn Park, was arrested by police after a traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs, police said.

A release by the Anne Arundel County Police Department said Holliday was flagged for a traffic stop after detectives with the Eastern District Strategic Patrol Team saw him in a "hand-to-hand drug transaction."

The exchange, police said, took place Tuesday at 11 p.m. in a Glen Burnie parking lot on the 1800 block of Crain Highway South.

A traffic stop against Holliday later returned 11 sealed packages of suspected Suboxone, four suspected Oxycodone pills, and $2,519 in cash.

  • Two counts of possession of a controlled substance other than marijuana
  • Possession of contraband in a place of confinement
  • Possession of a controlled dangerous substance with intent to distribute
  • Altering physical evidence

Holliday remains held without bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for April 22.
