Police Investigate Assault in Glen Burnie

The incident took place early Thursday morning and may have involved a fire.

UPDATE (1:20 p.m.)—Police charged a man in connection to an incident early Thursday morning at Tall Pines Court in Glen Burnie where there was a reported assault. There was also a fire at the same apartment complex.

Police charged Toriano Avery Angibeau of the 2100 block of Hillwood Road in Glen Burnie with four counts of second-degree assault and said the fire appears to be related. The Fire Marshal’s office is continuing their investigation of the fire, police said.    

According to a release from Anne Arundel County police, officers from the eastern district responded to a reported assault in the 7800 block of Tall Pines Court on Thursday just before 3 a.m.

"Officers learned an argument involving several people erupted during a party in an apartment and then carried into the parking lot," according to the police press release.

At least one person was assaulted in the face and was taken to a local hospital—but refused treatment, police said. Detectives later determined Angibeau assaulted four people but none of the victims were seriously injured, according to police.
