Anne Arundel County Police received a call around 4:10 p.m. Thursday reporting a theft from Harry Smuck and Sons, 100 block of Arundel Corporation Road, Glen Burnie.

The caller told officers he was following the suspect vehicle -- a green Toyota 4Runner -- down Arundel Corporation Road. Officers stopped the car when it turned onto Ritchie Highway.

The driver of the Toyota, Mark Samuel Pollay, 47, of Glen Burnie, allegedly stole a truck battery and battery cables from a 1986 Ford F600 truck. He was identified by the caller.

While at the scene, officers noticed the Toyota 4Runner driven by Pollay matched the description of a suspect vehicle involved in a burglary on Aug. 4 at Ultimate Automotive, 200 block of Arundel Corporation Road.
