Peggy Young, Vice President of Marketing at SECU, has won Smart CEO magazine’s Executive Management Award as one of this region’s Top Ten Marketers.

Smart CEO’s Executive Management Awards honor C-suite executives who have gone above and beyond to support and lead their organizations. The award recognizes executives in four categories – CFO, CIO/CTO, COO and CXO (other C-suite executives) – who uphold the highest ethics, lead collaboratively and creatively, and enhance and support their organization’s mission.

An independent committee of local business leaders reviews the Executive Management Award nominations. Winners are chosen based on the quality of the nominations submitted.
Young and her fellow Executive Management Award recipients were honored at an awards reception, held March 18 at the Hyatt Regency Baltimore. Award winners will also be profiled in the March/April issue of Smart CEO magazine.
Young joined SECU as Vice President of Marketing in May 2003. Prior to that, the Centreville, Maryland resident was Assistant Vice President at Boat America Corporation.
