Suspect Identified In Glen Burnie Walmart Bomb Threat: Police
The Anne Arundel County police and fire departments were summoned to the Glen Burnie Walmart after the store received a threatening call.
GLEN BURNIE, MD — The Walmart on Chesapeake Center Drive in Glen Burnie was evaluated March 3 at approximately 8:20 p.m. after the store received a threatening phone call referencing a bomb threat. According to the Anne Arundel County Police Department, Chelsea Leigh Felesky, 30, threatened to blow up the store and mentioned a specific employee by name.
Anne Arundel County police officers and the fire department arrived to investigate the situation. The store was evacuated while the seriousness of the threat was gauged. Approximately 200 employees and customers were included in the evacuation.
At least 10 police units and three Anne Arundel County Fire units responded to the store. The store was locked down for more than an hour as police K-9 units conducted a sweep. No explosive devices were located and the store was reopened afterward

Northern District Detectives conducted an investigation and eventually identified Felesky as the suspect. A warrant was obtained charging her with threats of mass violence, arson threats and telephone misuse. On the morning of March 6, detectives arrested the suspect and executed a search warrant at her residence. They recovered evidence pertaining to the threats, but no explosives or bomb making materials were found.
In June 2017, the same Walmart was evacuated temporarily after the store received a bomb threat, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department.
