Here are the top stories today in Glen Burnie:

  1. Guarav "Sonny" Rawal, 38, owner of Champs Pizza in Glen Burnie, was sentenced to 20 years of active incarceration. Rawal was involved in an accident on Feb. 8, 2021, that resulted in the death of Anthony Jean-Louis, 37. (Anne Arundel County)
  2. Daughter Kimberly Windsor pleaded guilty to murdering her mother, Carol Windsor on May 19, 2020. The elder Windsor was on the phone with her son, when he heard fighting in the background. The police were then called. The daughter will receive her sentence on July 12. (Patch)
  3. A large oak tree collapsed into a home in Annapolis Monday night at around 9:30 p.m. It was reported that several people were trapped inside. A man in his 40s was declared dead at the scene. A woman was taken to Shock Trauma. Several people were looked at and released at the scene. (A.A. County)
  4. The dividend payout will happen this Friday, April 22. This Thursday, April 21 will be the last time to buy Glen Burnie Bancorp before the dividend payout happens. (Benzinga)
  5. One male from Aberdeen and one male from Severn were arrested in connection to a home invasion in Glen Burnie. The residents told police that two men entered the home and demanded money. The suspects then sped away but were caught on Ritchie Highway. (WBAL)
