Two Men Arrested On Gun-Related Charges In Glen Burnie: Police
Laurel and Linthicum men were arrested in the incidents and charged accordingly.
GLEN BURNIE, MD — Two unrelated gun incidents unfolded in Glen Burnie July 27, resulting in the arrest of two men. Monday at approximately 11:50 a.m., officers responded for a destruction to property call at the Extended Stay America located at 104 Chesapeake Center Court in Glen Burnie.
Hotel management reported damage possibly caused by a gunshot inside one of the units. Officers obtained information regarding the identity and description of the person who had just checked out of the room, according to the Anne Arundel County Police Department. Officers searched the area and found the subject walking along East Ordnance Road. While officers were talking to the suspect, he lifted his shirt revealing a handgun. The man was arrested and a loaded .40 caliber Glock handgun was recovered, along with approximately 20 grams of suspected Alprazolam. Thomas Lee Cheung, 28, of Laurel was arrested in the incident.
At 5:45 p.m. Monday, officers arrived at the 600 block of Crain Highway to find a man asleep in a blue SUV with the driver's side door open. There was a 9mm Polymer 80 handgun sitting between the seat and center console within reach of the suspect, along with a box of 9mm ammunition, the police department noted. Officers arrested Edvin Noe Medina Barrera, 26, of Linthicum and charged him.
