Woman Saved From Heroin Overdose by Officer
A woman found unconscious in a car led to a Glen Burnie man's arrest on drug trafficking charges.

GLEN BURNIE, MD — A woman found unconscious in a car was saved from a likely heroin overdose by an observant Anne Arundel County Police officer.
An officer on patrol Thursday noticed the 31-year-old woman in a vehicle parked in front of 101 Fifth Ave. SE in Glen Burnie. The woman had a blue tinge to her complexion and a faint heartbeat.
Emergency medical personnel gave the woman Narcan, a drug that can reverse an overdose, and the woman regained consciousness.

Detectives obtained a search warrant for the address and found that its resident, Eugene Perry Woody, 45, had an open arrest warrant for first-degree burglary. Woody was arrested on the warrant and drugs were found in his residence, which the overdose victim had visited.
From the search, police seized: 3.9 grams of crack cocaine, 1.3 grams of heroin, 13 Suboxone strips and two tablets of Sublingual (opiate), as well as $180 cash, a digital scale, and packaging materials for drug distribution.

Woody was charged with possession and possession with intent to sell crack cocaine; possession and possession with intent to distribute heroin; possession and possession with intent to distribute not marijuana (Suboxone and sublingual); and possession of drug paraphernalia.
