Here are the top stories in Glen Burnie today:

  1. Kevin Pickett, 42, of Sykesville was driving under the influence on Thursday, May 12 when he hit and killed Tramellia Nicole Wright, 47, of Glen Burnie. Wright pulled over on Route 10, between Ordnance Road and the Beltway, because of a flat tire. The person who stopped to help her with her tire was also hit, but the injuries were minor, and he refused treatment. (WBAL Baltimore)
  2. The McDonalds in Gambills was the scene of a homicide on May 13 at approximately 4:45 a.m. Britrain Marcelus Gray, 23, of Odenton was found have been shot and killed. The police suspect that this was a targeting killing. Anyone with information is encouraged to call the police. (Anne Arundel County)
  3. The MARC train suspended its service the afternoon of Friday, May 13 due to a pedestrian being hit by the train. The stations between Odenton and Bowie are affected by this event. Additional information is not available at this time. (News Break)
  4. The Annapolis Police Department did a compliance check of liquor laws at several restaurants in Annapolis on April 11 and 12. Out of 22 restaurants, 17 were in compliance. The other 5 were cited for serving alcohol to minors. (Eye On Annapolis)
  5. Danyel Dube, 34, of Elkridge, died at the scene of an accident when her car crossed onto oncoming traffic and hit another vehicle head on. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to Shock Trauma with non-life-threatening injuries. The cause of the crash is unknown at this time. (WBAL)

  • Cruisin' for Education car show is today! After 2 years, this annual event has started back up! Come see the cars, listen to music, check out the vendors all while you eat and drink. This is a free event open from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. (Center For Applied Tech)
  • St. Alban's Episcopal Church is having its annual spring flea market today. Rain or shine the market will go on. Early birds can enter at 8 a.m. for $1 entry fee. Sleepy heads can visit starting at 9 a.m.-1 p.m. (St. Alban's)
  • Brews and Cues in Annapolis is hosting its 5th annual Black Eyed Susan 8 Ball Doubles. The doors open at 9 a.m. Payment at the door is $120. (All Events)
