Neighbors describe shattered windows, repeated targeting, and fear for their safety as police detail several August and September incidents tied to the same man.
   

• KBR's Mission Technology Solutions spinoff awarded $1.1B NOAA contract (energycapitalhtx.com) — A major NOAA National Weather Service program to gather commercial weather data will be managed in Greenbelt under a new contract worth up to $1.1 billion. The effort, led by KBR's soon-to-be-spun-off Trinzic unit, aims to improve forecasts for extreme storms and dangerous weather nationwide, tying Greenbelt directly to critical forecasting work.
   

• Space News: NASA's Hubble, Webb find far-out solar system objects 'remember' past (lakeconews.com) — Greenbelt gets a brief but notable mention as NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, based here, manages the Hubble Space Telescope and its mission operations. Those locally run efforts helped enable new research using Hubble and the James Webb telescope to study distant icy objects beyond Neptune and better understand how our solar system first formed.
