Police Blotter: June 2 - 10

The following arrest information was supplied by the Greenbelt Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

June 2: Devon James Scipio, of Hyattsville, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia on the 9100 block of Springhill Lane at 9:45 p.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial. 

June 3: Graffiti was found on property signs on the 7400 block of Frankfurt Drive at 10:46 a.m.

Electronics were taken from a residence on the 6100 block of Breezewood Courtat 2:16 p.m.

Electronics were taken from a residence on the 9100 block of Edmonston Court at 5:52 p.m. 

Vernon Lloyd Hines, Jr., 22, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with motor vehicle theft and theft over $1000, after being stopped in a stolen silver 1993 Mazda with Maryland tags in the 7500 block of Greenbelt Road on the 6200 block of Breezewood Court at 7:37 p.m. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner.

Osman Kalokoh, 42, of Lanham, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop on the 5900 block of Cherrywood Lane at 9:48 p.m. The suspect was released on citations ending trial.

A black 2011 Honda Accord with District of Columbia tags was taken on the 9100 block of Edmonston Court.

Tools and television equipment were taken from a vehicle on the 6000 block of Springhill Drive.

June 4: Juan Francisco Torres, 34, of Lanham, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop near the Greenbelt Road and Mandan Road intersection at 2:42 a.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

An attempted strong arm robbery occurred on the 9100 block of Springhill Lane at 4:23 a.m. Three suspects approached the victims and attempted to rob them. The suspects are described as black males, one wearing a white T-shirt and dark jeans with long dreads in his hair, and the second wearing a black T-shirt and dark jeans with dreads in his hair. There is no description for the third suspect. 

Assorted pieces of art were taken from a residence on the 6200 block of Springhill Drive at 9:28 a.m. 

An attempted burglary on the 6200 block of Springhill Drive at 3:54 p.m. 

Food was taken from a residence on the 9000 block of Breezewood Terrace at 8:48 p.m. 

Kimana Rashika Haggins, 35, of Bowie, was arrested and charged with failure to obey a lawful order on the 6400 block of Capitol Drive at 10:19 p.m.. The suspect was released on citation pending trial. 

June 5: John William Norton, 26, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct on the 11 court block of Laurel Hill Road at 6:13 p.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial. 

Shoes were taken from a vehicle on the 8100 block of Mandan Road. 

June 6: Ram K. Krishnan, 30, of Silver Spring, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while impaired by alcohol and possession of drug paraphernalia, among other charges after a traffic stop on the 9300 block of Kenilworth Avenue at 3:41 a.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial. 

Paul Ntosi, 47, of Greenbelt, was arrested and charged with leaving a child unattended on the 5900 block of Cherrywood Lane at 9:34 a.m. The suspect was released on citation pending trial. 

An attempted strong arm robbery occurred on the 7900 block of Mandan Road at 5:10 p.m. Two suspects approached two victims and tried to take their property. The suspects are described as black males, one is 14-15 years old, 110-120 pounds, black hair, wearing a white tank top and black shorts, and the other is 15-16 years old, 130-150 pounds, wearing no shirt. 

Karen Marie Schofield, 53, of Brooklyn, NY, was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving while impaired by alcohol, among other charges after a traffic stop near Kenilworth Avenue, on Crescent Road at 6:28 p.m. The suspect was released on citations pending trial.

Ammunition and a bulletproof vest were among the items taken from a residence on the 5900 block of Cherrywood Terrace at 6:52 p.m. 

A black 2009 Honda Accord with Maryland tags was taken on the 100 block of Westway.

A laptop was taken from a vehicle on the 6400 block of Ivy Lane. 

A gold 1997 Toyota Camry with no tags attached was taken on the 7700 block of Kenilworth Avenue. 

June 7: Raymond Frederick Myers, 41, of Lanham, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana on the 7900 block of Good Luck Road at 12:43 a.m. The suspect was released to the Department of Corrections for a hearing before a District Court Commissioner. 

June 8: Electronics and a wallet were taken from a residence on the 5900 block of Cherrywood Terrace at 5:43 a.m.

A window was broken on the 5900 block of Cherrywood Terrace at 9:49 p.m.

A radio/CD player was taken from a vehicle on the 7800 block of Hanover Parkway.

Documents and cell phone charger were among the items taken from a vehicle on the 8200 block of Canning Terrace.

A green 1994 Honda Accord with Maryland tags was recovered by the Prince George’s County Police in the 11000 block of S. Laurel Drive, Laurel. No arrests were made. 

June 9: Electronics and personal documents were taken from a residence 100 block of Westway at 6:01 p.m.

Tires and rims were taken from a vehicle on the 7200 block of Morrison Drive.

June 10: A DVD player was taken from a vehicle on the 6100 block of Breezewood Court. 

A stereo was taken from a vehicle on the 7700 block of Ora Court. 

A radio was taken from a vehicle on the 9100 block of Springhill Lane.
