• Rev. Lewis Wayne Getchell (carolinereview.com) — Greensboro residents are remembering Rev. Lewis Wayne Getchell, who once owned an auto parts store in town and later returned as a United Methodist pastor serving the community. The longtime minister and family man died June 29 at 87, with a joint celebration of life for him and his late wife planned August 1 at Denton Church of the Nazarene.
