3 Fundraisers Planned For Family Of Firefighter Nathan Flynn

From a local business to the fire company, there are a few ways HdG organizations are offering support to firefighter Nathan Flynn's family.

HAVRE DE GRACE, MD — There are several fundraisers planned to support the family of Nathan Flynn. The Havre de Grace man was killed fighting a seven-alarm fire Monday while working as a career firefighter for the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services. He is survived by his wife and children.

Bella's Tea Room will donate 25 percent of its sales on Saturday, July 28, and Sunday, July 29, to the Flynn Family. The tea room is located at 421 St. John Street. It sells tea, sandwiches, soups and sweets. See the menu. Hours are 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The Susquehanna Hose Company and Shoreline Emergency Vehicle Graphics will hold a Thin Red Line Fundraiser on Saturday, Aug. 4. People can give a donation to have thin red lines put on their vehicles, with all proceeds going to the Flynn family. The event will take place at Susquehanna Hose Company Division 1 at 451 North Juniata Street. The event will begin at 9 a.m. and run until 1 p.m. or until it sells out on Saturday, Aug. 4. There will also be a pit beef sale, with proceeds going to the Flynns.
